Question 1

How do I download a Pinterest video?

Accepted Answer

Open a publicly accessible Pinterest video pin, copy its link, paste it into the box above, and choose Get Media. When the media is successfully resolved you can preview it and select Download to save a supported file.

Question 2

Do I need a Pinterest account?

Accepted Answer

No. Downloadit needs no account and no login. It only works with publicly accessible pins, so there is nothing to sign in to.

Question 3

Why might a video link not work?

Accepted Answer

A link can fail when the pin is deleted, private, region-restricted, login-walled, or is only served as a streaming playlist that cannot be fetched anonymously. Availability depends entirely on the pin and the source, and no downloader can guarantee it.

Question 4

Can I download private Pinterest content?

Accepted Answer

No. Only publicly accessible pins can be resolved. Private boards, secret pins, and anything behind a login cannot be downloaded, and the tool reports the real reason instead of returning an unrelated file.

Question 5

Does the downloader add a watermark?

Accepted Answer

No. Downloadit does not add a watermark. It returns the best available public media file exposed by the pin.

Question 6

Can I use the downloader on an iPhone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open this page in Safari, copy a public pin link, paste it, and use Get Media. The saved MP4 appears in the Files app.

Question 7

Can I use it on Android?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use a current browser such as Chrome, paste the public pin URL, and find the downloaded MP4 in the browser Downloads folder.

Question 8

Does it work on Windows and Mac?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It works in a current desktop browser on Windows or Mac and saves the file to the browser's normal download folder.

Question 9

What does Auto Detect do?

Accepted Answer

Auto Detect finds the media by default. It reads the public pin and selects the supported media it exposes without requiring a media type choice.

Question 10

Why is the preview unavailable?

Accepted Answer

The pin may have expired, been deleted, become restricted, or returned a media URL that is no longer fresh. Open the pin and submit its link again.

Question 11

Is a Pinterest login required?

Accepted Answer

No. Downloadit does not request a Pinterest login. The pin must be viewable publicly without signing in.

Question 12

Can I download any Pinterest video?

Accepted Answer

Only public videos that Pinterest exposes as a downloadable progressive media file can be fetched. Streaming-only, private, deleted, or restricted pins may not work.

Question 13

Where is my downloaded video saved?

Accepted Answer

It is saved by your browser in its normal Downloads location. On iPhone, check the Files app; on Android, check Downloads.
