Question 1

How do I download Pinterest images?

Accepted Answer

Open the image pin, tap the share icon and choose Copy link (on desktop you can copy the address bar). Paste that link into the box above and choose Get Media — Auto Detect finds the pictures by default. Preview the result and select Download to save each image.

Question 2

Does this work as a Pinterest photo downloader and carousel downloader?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It saves the image behind a public Pinterest image pin, and when a pin exposes more than one image it returns those carousel pictures too — using the same pin link.

Question 3

Will I get the full-resolution image?

Accepted Answer

The tool picks the largest image the pin exposes and preserves its original format (JPEG, PNG or WebP) wherever possible, so you get the sharpest available copy rather than a downscaled thumbnail.

Question 4

Can I download every picture in a Pinterest carousel?

Accepted Answer

When a pin exposes more than one image, the result panel shows them one at a time with previous/next controls, and each picture downloads individually. If a pin exposes only a single image, just that one is shown.

Question 5

What if the pin is a video, not an image?

Accepted Answer

Use the Pinterest Video Downloader to save the MP4. This page handles image and carousel pins only, and it will tell you plainly when a link resolves to a video rather than returning the wrong file.

Question 6

Why did a Pinterest pin image not download?

Accepted Answer

Deleted pins, private boards, login-walled pins and region-restricted pins cannot be fetched anonymously. The page names the exact reason — invalid link, removed pin, restricted content, or an upstream problem — and never substitutes a placeholder image.

Question 7

Is there a watermark or quality loss?

Accepted Answer

No. The file is the original Pinterest image served by the public page; Downloadit does not re-encode it or add any branding.

Question 8

Can I use this on an iPhone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open Safari, copy a public pin link, paste it into Downloadit, and save the result to the Files app.

Question 9

Can I use this on Android?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use a current browser, paste the public pin URL, and find the saved image in Downloads or your file manager.

Question 10

Does it work on Windows and Mac?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A current browser on Windows or Mac can resolve public pins and save the image to its normal download folder.

Question 11

What does Auto Detect do?

Accepted Answer

Auto Detect finds the media by default. It reads the public pin and selects the supported image or carousel media it exposes.

Question 12

Can I download a private board?

Accepted Answer

No. Downloadit only handles public pins that can be viewed without signing in. Private boards and secret pins are not fetched.

Question 13

Why does the image preview fail?

Accepted Answer

The pin may be deleted, restricted, login-walled, or its signed media URL may have expired. Open the pin again and submit its current public link.

Question 14

Does the tool change the original image?

Accepted Answer

No. It does not add a watermark or intentionally re-encode the file. It returns the best available format exposed by the public pin.

Question 15

How many carousel images can I save?

Accepted Answer

The result includes the image items the public pin exposes. Each available item can be previewed and downloaded individually.

Question 16

Can this page download Pinterest videos?

Accepted Answer

No. Use the Pinterest Video Downloader for public video pins. This page is for image and carousel media.

Question 17

Where are saved images stored?

Accepted Answer

Your browser chooses the location. Check Files on iPhone, Downloads on Android, or the browser download folder on Windows and Mac.
